He put a ring back on it!

For the past 2 years my husband has not worn a wedding ring.  The reason? Well after 2 deployments his ring got a little beat up and didn't fit right anymore.  Anytime we go to the mall or go past a jewelry store I wanted to stop just to see if anything caught his eye.  I found myself getting extremely frustrated because he acted like nothing was good enough for him. So Valentines day came around and he told me he had a big surprised for me, but he had to pick it up in Tacoma.  I had no clue he was going to Jared's to buy a wedding band.  He told me later the clerk was confused why I would be excited about him getting a new ring as my Valentines Day present.  ITS ROMANTIC! HE'S MY VALENTINE! Anyways, he came home and gave me the cute pink bag, I opened the box to nothing but a note that said "You liked it, so I put a ring back on it!" Just as he started playing "Shoulda put a ring on it" via his cell phone.  I got choked up, it was so wonderful.  He really got me this year.

A crazy week!

Have you ever had one of those "crazy" weeks?  Well last week was that week for our family.  It started with a beautiful snow storm, which turned into a nasty ice storm.  Schools were closed all week, Kevan had to put chains on the car just to get to work.  The cherry on top was all the damage the broken trees caused.  Went to dinner with Kevan's folks, sat down and the whole city went into a blackout!  Thankfully we found a place to eat that had power :) Elijah was supposed to met his PreK teacher on Friday but with the storm it didn't happen.  Hopefully he will start school soon.  Kevan left for recruiting school on Sunday, been praying extra hard everything goes well for him.

The other women

No I will not sit an watch you play your video game, nor will I rub your neck as you read endless forums about different MMO features. I put my foot down, and officially washed my hands of World of Warcraft.  So what did Kevan do? HE REPLACED ME!  She is his "Sweetheart" she sits with him every night, rubs up against his neck, and even trys to play by walking across the keys. As you can see in the picture, he even has canned cat food available for his spoiled little princess!
